Citadel Charadon Granite

The effigy was initially undercoated using two coats of the old citadel layer paint charadon granite and subsequently heavily washed with nuln oil.

While the thornwood green is a shade lighter than the granite it is darker than the stormvermin fur. The middle is the old chardon granite and the far right is the new stormvermin fur. It was then simply dry brushed using more charadon granite. You can recognise a miniature from this time by the liberal use of the colour and more likely than not a bright green base.

In the bottle it looks super close to the old charadon granite. Bastion grey anthartic. I also do something similar with citadel charadon granite but this is darker closer to a base layer shade and really just needs progressive lightening for the mid and highlight. For the wood i applied the wash selectively into the recesses while the metal got an all over wash.
